Miley Cyrus has revealed another new single – check out the preview of “End of the World” below.
Upcoming Album Details
The artist is set to release her ninth album, “Something Beautiful,” on May 30 through Columbia Records, and she has already shared her stunning album cover. Cyrus is taking on the role of executive producer for the LP, collaborating with Shone Everett (known for work with Kacey Musgraves and Alabama Shakes).
Earlier this week, Cyrus unveiled the dramatic and haunting first glimpse of the “bold” record with the track titled “Prelude.” Shortly after, she released the explosive title track.
Now, Cyrus has confirmed that her new single “End of the World” will drop tomorrow (Thursday, April 3).
“Emphasizing the thrilling, operatic approach of the project, these tracks celebrate the start of a meticulously crafted journey,” stated the announcement alongside the music video preview.
“Each song follows the sequence of the album and the film. ‘End of the World’ will be available on April 3 at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT (1:00 AM BST, April 4).”
“Let’s pretend that this is not the end of the world,” Cyrus sings amidst visual effects, positioned in front of a drum set. Tune in here:

Cyrus premiered the track “End of the World” during a live performance at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California at the beginning of last year. Check it out in the video above.
In line with the “Endless Summer Holidays” of 2023, the star’s new album will also arrive with a “visual” version of the film directed by Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter. This is expected to hit theaters in June.
The film has been described as “A unique pop-opera experience from the mind of Miley Cyrus,” and the official synopsis reads: “A unique visual journey infused with Fantasy, featuring 13 original songs from the upcoming album.”
Previously, she hinted that the album would draw inspiration from Pink Floyd’s The Wall, stating, “We really leaned into that. So I have this first attachment to it. My idea was to create a ‘wall’ but with a more glamorous and pop-culture-filled wardrobe,” she explained.
In their four-star review of “Endless Summer Holidays,” NME stated: “All this contributes to an album that fully captures your attention, even if it may not be the most daring or groundbreaking work from Cyrus.”
