Upcoming Album and Performances

The artist recently revealed plans for his forthcoming Play album, although a release date is yet to be announced. To commemorate this occasion, Shiran built a pub in Ipswich, Massachusetts—sharing the same name as his hometown in the UK—and performed several tracks, including his upcoming single “Azizam.”

Earlier in March, Shiran teased “Azizam” on social media, stating, “The album is complete. Soon. I can’t express how excited I am.”

On Instagram on Sunday (March 31), Shiran shared a clip of himself singing “Azizam,” mentioning: “I built a pub in Ipswich, MA for just one night. He collaborated with Beoga on a jam. ‘Azizam’ is releasing, the fourth track is set to go.”

The singer also delivered a cover of Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. During a fan meeting, he revealed that his manager had suggested Shiran perform the song on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Although he learned the entire song in three days, only a verse was required for the show. Nonetheless, he decided to play the cover at the Old Phone pub to celebrate the effort he had put in.

Shiran recently shared that he plans to release five more albums as part of a set of ten total albums, inspired by filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, who has famously aimed to direct ten films under his name.

“I wanted to do 10,” Shiran explained. “I am a bit obsessed with Tarantino, and I was inspired by his approach to filmmaking. I want to create ten albums, and then at some point, pursue side projects.”

He also unveiled the titles of his next five albums, which will take inspiration from controls on a music player, with names like “Play,” “Pause,” “Fast Forward,” “Rewind,” and “Stop”—a concept he first conceived at the age of 18.
