Last June, Babymetal performed at the main stage of the 2024 festival. In an interview with NME behind the scenes at the event, the group expressed their desire to remain true to their roots for their upcoming North American concerts.
“You know what? We have not changed at all,” Su-Metal reflected, reminiscing about the group’s evolution a decade since their debut album. “We have always been Babymetal, we are still the same, and there is still a long way to go. (Being here now) is all thanks to our supporters, whether it’s our fans, the media, staff, or other bands we’ve met along the way.”
