The Molotovs Debut Single “More”
The Molotovs have shared their anemic debut single “more” following their recent support slot with the Sex Pistols.
Produced by Jason Perry (Don Broco, Trash Boat) and mixed/mastered by Blair Cryton from Dead Pony, this energetic track features a bright guitar riff and a rolling bass line, reminiscent of British rock in the early 2000s, similar to The Libertines.
“Wow / everything you want, more, more / yes / because I'm completely sure that you do not care,” sings frontman and guitarist Matthew Cartlidge during the loud chorus of the track. The press release describes “more” as “a close-knit scream for a restless, exciting desire for fleeting pleasures, questioning whether it could be less.”
In the music video directed by Niko Beyer, Cartlidge and his sister, bassist Molotov Issi, are seen running around a tube station in costumes, performing in front of a wall of lights on stage.

Discussing the song in the press release, Matthew remarked: “We are addressing the existence of transitional relationships that evoke indifference. Filling the time with drinking and parties serves as a distraction from the mundane boredom of life, masking the absence of personality while deeply knowing that you want more.”
He also touched on the band’s influences: “Musically, we are influenced by greats like Jam, Green Day, and the Sex Pistols. We aimed for our group to reflect our admiration for the new wave/mod revival of the late 70s and early 80s.”
Upcoming Tour and Performances
The release of “larger larger” comes just two days after The Molotovs supported the Sex Pistols with Frank Carter at Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer on March 24.
The Molotovs will embark on their tour titled “All You Need Is A Tour of the Tour” in 2025, starting with a headline show tonight (March 26) at the Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham.
