The band has seen limited activity since the Libertines reform in 2014. However, during a recent solo show at the Palace Watford Theatre on Friday (March 21), bassist Drew Maccontell and drummer Adam Fitsek joined him for an energetic set of seven songs.

The trio performed “Albion” and “Fuck Forever” from their 2005 debut album “Down in Albion,” along with Libertines tracks “What Katie Did,” “Time for Heroes,” and “Don’t Look Back in the Sun.” They also included the 2009 single “Last of the English Roses” and concluded with a cover of the classic “I Want to Adore.”

Dortotri, McConnell, and Fitsek had a similar performance in Northampton last August, marking their first show together in ten years. Reports suggested to NME that guitarist Mick Witnall was present for this show but was unable to stay for the concert.

After the show, Fitsek indicated that the group could potentially reunite. “4 out of 5 isn’t bad,” he remarked.

Dortorti stated, “This is on the horizon,” he told NME. “We will get back together, pick up our instruments, and play old songs, then we will perform. But it’s a matter of ‘who’ and ‘when’ that needs to be figured out. I think we’ll just keep it in sight and address it next year.”

When asked about the possibility of making a new Babyshambles record, he replied, “I have no idea. The other day I wrote a new song that I think could work like ‘Ruins.’ Who knows? That’s still a long way off.”

MacConnell has spent the last decade touring with Liam Gallagher. Fitsek was not the original drummer for Babyshambles but played on their first two albums before leaving in 2008.
