May Müller Makes a Comeback with New Dance Single “Breakaway” After 15-Month Hiatus

Mae Müller is back with a fresh single titled To Break Out, marking her first release as an independent artist following a 15-month hiatus.

Exploring New Sounds

The track, crafted by Kherik Michelsen, showcases Müller venturing into new musical territory by blending electronic elements with pop aesthetics. The music video, filmed by Ben Cole, is set to debut later today (Friday, March 21).

Embracing Vulnerability

“I recorded a ‘show’ during a phase when I felt quite lost as an artist. I felt overwhelming pressure with my newfound independence, and after some time, I decided to enter the studio and express everything I was feeling. At the very least, it would lighten my load,” Müller shares. “This was on June 13 last year, and it turned into one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written, symbolizing the start of this new chapter. It’s about navigating vulnerability while also discovering one’s strength, all without losing joy along the way.”
