Jack White Joins Bill Murray at Cubs vs. Dodgers Game, Receives Special Jersey from Eddie Vedder

Jack White attended the baseball game “Plings against Doders” in Tokyo, Japan, alongside Bill Murray. Eddie Vedder made a special gift to him during the event.

Concert Highlights and Gift Exchange

The former frontman of the White Stripes was at the game following two recent performances as part of his world tour. During his second-to-last concert in Japan, Vedder joined White on stage to perform a cover of Rokin Nile Yang during an exhibition on BIS.

After the concert, the Pearl Jam frontman presented White with a vintage white jersey, which he wore to the game. Upon arriving at the Tokyo Dome stadium in the jersey, he discovered he was seated next to Murray.

White reflected on the surreal experience on Instagram (March 18), posting: “You know what it feels like when you go to see the MLB game between newcomers and doctors in Tokyo, Japan, while wearing a T-shirt with a cub alongside the navigation of Derby. The Universe sits next to you to watch this game.”

Upcoming Tour and New Music

With the Japanese leg of his tour now completed, White is set to return to North America for more dates. The tour kicks off on April 3 in St. Louis, USA, with stops in cities including Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, and more. You can find a complete list of dates and remaining tickets here.

This tour follows the unexpected release of White’s latest album “No Name” in August, which received a four-star review from NME writer Andrew Trendell, who described it as “an ode to mysticism in rock-n-roll and the joy of music in its most physical and playful form.”

In related news, the White Stripes recently announced a reissue to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their fifth album “Get Behind Me Satan,” featuring demos and alternative studio recordings.

Pearl Jam, on the other hand, has announced their 2025 US tour in support of their new album “Dark Matter,” starting in Florida on April 24. More information can be found here.
