New Single Release
Wish has unveiled a new single, “Again and Again,” from their forthcoming EP, Planet Popstar, set to release on April 25 via WinSpear.
Song Themes and Background
“The main themes of this song revolve around desire, ambitions, disappointments, and acceptance, playing with the cards you are dealt,” explains Kevin Krauter, singer and guitarist. “I composed this track in 2020, before the band was formed, and I hadn’t initially intended to record and release it properly.”
The titular track of the EP draws its name from the home planet of the beloved Nintendo character, Kirby. The release features Krauter on lead vocals, complemented by the harmony of Nina Pitkitts. The vinyl edition will be a double-sided 12-inch, with the EP Paradise from 2023 included on the reverse side of Paradise on Planet Popstar.
Tour Details
Following their debut EPs Paradise in 2023 and Triple Seven in 2024, Wishy has performed on shows like Colbert and appeared at SXSW. The band is set to support Mom on tour this spring.
