Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker Confirm Their Relationship: What You Need to Know

Lucy Dacus’ Relationship Confirmation

Lucy Dacus has officially confirmed her relationship with Julien Baker, a colleague from the Boygenius group, in a recent interview with New YorkField.

Insights on the New Album

This confirmation arrives as Dacus is gearing up for the release of her new solo album, Forever Is Sense. In conversation with journalist Amanda Petrusich, Dacus reveals that the album’s themes predominantly center around her affection for Baker, with whom she cohabitates in Los Angeles.

“It was interesting because I want to protect what is precious in my life, but, frankly, to do it true,” Dacus says. After a brief pause, she adds, “Maybe a healthier way to think about this is actually not fragile.”

Personal Reflections on Privacy

Touching on the personal nature of their relationship, Dacus points out that while the majority of fans have been respectful, “it takes only a handful for your life to feel very easily threatening.” She continues, “I practiced, not strengthened this narrative for myself.”

The couple resides near their Boygenius friend Phoebe Bridgers, and they frequently visit the Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino. “We have a membership because Phoebe gifted it to us for my birthday,” Dacus explains.
