Jeremy Zimmer Announces Resignation
Jeremy Zimmer must resign from his role as the chief executive director of the United Talent Agency (UTA), effective June 1, 2025, after 13 years in the position.
The talent, entertainment, sport, and advisory company has appointed David Kramer as his successor, also effective on that day.
Leadership Transition at UTA
The Beverly Hills-based talent agency announced that Jeremy Zimmer, who has served as CEO since 2012, will transition to the role of executive chairman until the end of 2025. He will also remain on the company’s Board of Directors, which will continue to be led by chairman Paul Wahter, who joined the board in 2023 alongside Nexus Management Group founder Cechei Kurtzman.
Vakhter stated: “We are pleased to announce David as the next CEO of UTA. We are confident that his leadership and client-oriented approach will position the company for continued success.”
Vakhter added, “I’ve known Jeremy and UTA for nearly 30 years and have been impressed by Jeremy’s entrepreneurial spirit and vision.”
Significant Growth Under Zimmer’s Leadership
During his tenure, Zimmer oversaw 19 strategic acquisitions, including two major music agencies, a publishing company, Fletcher & Company, the British talent agency Curtis Brown Group, and global football agency ROOF.
The company’s partnership with Klutch Sports now represents professional athletes across various major leagues. UTA also established its first agency unit dedicated to digital talent and subcasting.
Under Zimmer’s leadership, UTA welcomed three rounds of external investments. In 2018, UTA announced investments from Investcorp and the Council on Pension Investments in the State Sector (PSP Investment). In 2022, the company disclosed funding from private equity firm Equation.
“David has been my chosen successor for many years, and I am confident he will continue to nurture our strong culture and honor the privilege of serving our clients,”

Zimmer remarked: “My 35 years with UTA have been incredibly rewarding. While transitions are never simple, this particular moment feels very right.”
Kramer began his career at UTA in the post office before advancing to president in 2022, where he oversaw the shot entertainment group, managing literary properties across television, talent, production, and independent film, along with comedy touring and publishing operations.
“It is a tremendous honor for me to serve as the next CEO of this incredible company and work with our talented team of agents and managers, who prioritize our clients and share a commitment to providing personalized and impactful opportunities,” Kramer stated.
“Thanks to Jeremy’s vision and leadership, UTA has not only grown but has evolved into a more diversified and dynamic company, expanding into new areas while strengthening our core business.”
The leadership change at the C-Suite level comes less than a year after UTA appointed former Musrooves Music Group general manager Bob Robak as its chief operating officer.
