Radiohead Celebrates The Bends Anniversary
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of The Bends, Radiohead has unveiled a playlist featuring B-sides and remixes from the iconic album.
Collaboration And Notable Tracks
The group’s second album, crafted by John Lecture, marked their inaugural collaboration with Nigel Godrich, who has since contributed to every subsequent Radiohead album. The newly released playlist features B-sides including “Indian Rubber,” “How Can You Be Sure?”, “The Bishop’s Border,” and “The Leading Tok Show,” which was featured in Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 film adaptation of “Romeo + Juliet.”
The playlist’s release was preceded by a previously unreleased frame from a solo performance recorded at Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern on March 28, 1995. The 25-minute video highlights acoustic renditions of tracks such as “(Nice Dream),” “Tallulah,” “Street Spirit (Fade Out),” “Fake Plastic Trees,” and “Thinking About You.”
