Sleep Token Announces His Fourth Album

The announcement came after they started teasing new material earlier this year, sharing hints online. Subsequently, they began sending mysterious updates to fans via email, indicating that a new era was approaching.

Details About the Upcoming Album

Now, the band has revealed further details about the upcoming album, which is the long-awaited follow-up to “Return Me to Eden.” Titled “Even in Arcadia,” it is set for release on May 9 through RCA.

According to the description, the LP marks a new chapter for the frontman and the band, as they “continue the unfolding journey, where Sleep Token pushes the boundaries of sound and emotions, dissolving into something otherworldly.”

Alongside the album announcement, Sleep Token has also shared the first teaser of new music by releasing the expansive leading single “Emergence.”

The track has already received a four-star review from NME, which described how the metal band “demonstrates their vast genre-spanning ability, pushing the limits of the genre.”

“Extending over six minutes and 26 seconds, it showcases the band’s fearless approach to taking long, winding paths that seamlessly shift between genres,” the review states.

“In any case, ‘The Appearance’ confirms the surprising turns they still have in store, maintaining intrigue around the grand construction in ‘Even in Arcadia’, which some fans expect to diverge from their earlier cohesive albums,” it adds. “Meanwhile, we can only continue doing what Sleep Token has always asked of us: to worship.”

Upcoming Tour Dates

The new tour dates were also announced alongside the album release, featuring 17 shows across North America later this year.

The confirmation of the new album follows the band’s recent performance at the Load Festival in June. Meanwhile, drummer II is set to appear at the final Black Sabbath show in Birmingham in July.

This historic event will see metal pioneers perform alongside Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Alice in Chains, Halestorm, Grammy winners Gojira, and many others. II recently called his appearance at the final Black Sabbath concert a “reverence and great honor.”
