Fans unite against court prohibition
Approximately 30,000 fans in New -Anjan/NJZ have signed a petition to reject the court prohibition of Ador against the group.
Petition details and background
Korea Dzhungang daily reported on March 12 that a coalition of 30,000 NJZ fans signed a petition and published a statement calling for the rejection of the judicial prohibition of Ador. The petition opened for signatures on February 24 and garnered support from both international and domestic fans.
This development followed the first hearing on the court prohibition the previous week, where Ador notably broadened the scope of their legal efforts to ban all independent musical and entertainment events involving NJZ, in addition to their initial aim of halting independent transactions with the brand.
Statement from the fans
“We support the termination of their exclusive contracts,” the fans stated. “If they are compelled to continue their activities with a company that has destroyed their trust, it will only prolong the suffering of the participants who are forced to work in a hostile environment. Neither the artists nor the fans will be able to enjoy their activities in the future.”
The statement further expressed that the fans “do not want external factors to hinder their musical careers.” They added, “We urge the court to dismiss the judicial prohibition of Ador regarding the activities of the members so they can thrive in a safe and happy environment with people they can trust.”
When NJZ first learned about the expansion of the judicial prohibition the day before the hearing, the music label stated to Nme that they aimed “to ensure that the artists can continue their activities in accordance with our existing contract agreement,” and not “to impede the careers of the artists.”
